Wrynvale Studio
Privacy Policy
Last updated August 11, 2026
Think in Layers is designed to work without an account or Wrynvale Studio backend. This policy explains the limited information handled by the app, Wrynvale Studio, and the services used for advertising, purchases, support, and this website.
At a glance
- Wrynvale Studio does not receive your puzzle progress, streak, statistics, or settings from the app.
- The free version may use Google AdMob, which can process technical, advertising, and interaction data directly from your device.
- Apple processes the optional Remove Ads purchase. Wrynvale Studio never receives your payment-card or Apple Account details.
- Wrynvale Studio directly receives information only when you choose to email support. Cloudflare also processes basic connection data to deliver and protect this website.
Information kept on your device
Think in Layers stores game progress, Daily completion dates, streak and performance statistics, tutorial status, sound, haptic and motion preferences, ad-frequency counters, and Remove Ads entitlement status locally on your device. This information is not sent to Wrynvale Studio. It remains until it is cleared by the operating system or the app is removed, subject to any device backup or restore behavior. Wrynvale Studio cannot view, recover, export, or delete information that exists only on your device.
Advertising and Google AdMob
When advertising is enabled, the free version may request interstitial advertisements from Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads and User Messaging Platform SDKs may process information such as your IP address and IP-derived general location, device or app identifiers, ads shown and interactions with them, app interactions, consent choices, crash information, performance data, and other diagnostic information. Google and participating advertising partners may use this information to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain their services.
Think in Layers requests non-personalized ads. These are not selected from your past behavior, but may still use the current app context, IP-derived general location, mobile or app identifiers for frequency limits and aggregated reporting, and technical data needed for delivery and security. Depending on your location and consent choices, Google may instead provide limited ads with fewer identifier-based features.
Wrynvale Studio does not receive Google’s raw device-level advertising data, but may receive aggregated reports such as ad impressions, performance, and revenue. Depending on region, Google may identify participating ad technology providers in the consent message. Learn more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. Google also publishes information about advertising technologies and retention and its AdMob ad technology partners.
Advertising consent and controls
The app requests updated consent information before loading ads and displays Google privacy choices where required. When Google indicates that privacy options must remain available, an Ad privacy options item appears in the app's Settings screen so you can review or change your choices. Google UMP may store your choices on the device and communicate consent or opt-out signals to Google and participating advertising partners. Basic information such as an IP address may still be used to deliver an ad, measure aggregated performance, and prevent fraud. Think in Layers does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, does not request access to IDFA, and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier in the iOS app. You can also review Google's controls through My Ad Center or purchase Remove Ads.
Apple in-app purchase
The optional Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple. Wrynvale Studio does not receive your payment-card information, Apple Account credentials, or billing address. StoreKit provides the app with the product and transaction status needed to complete, unlock, and restore the purchase. Think in Layers stores the resulting Remove Ads status locally and does not send a purchase receipt to a Wrynvale Studio server. Wrynvale Studio may receive aggregated sales and financial reports from Apple, but those reports do not provide payment-card details. Apple handles its own purchase records under Apple's Privacy Policy.
Sharing a result
The Share result button prepares a short text summary and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination. The selected app or service handles the shared result under its own terms and privacy practices. Wrynvale Studio does not receive a copy.
Support communications
If you choose to email support, Wrynvale Studio receives your email address and the message, screenshots, or other information you include. This information is used to respond, troubleshoot problems, handle privacy requests, and maintain reasonable records. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, Apple Account credentials, or other sensitive information.
The support mailbox is provided by Microsoft Outlook. Microsoft processes and stores support messages as the email service provider under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
This website and Cloudflare
The official Think in Layers information pages are static pages hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Wrynvale Studio does not place advertising, account forms, or analytics trackers on these pages, and Cloudflare Web Analytics is not enabled. Cloudflare may automatically process standard connection and security information—such as IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or device information, and security signals—to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare handles this information under its Privacy Policy.
Service providers, sharing, and sale
Wrynvale Studio does not sell player profiles or local game progress. Information is processed by Google and its disclosed advertising partners for ads, Apple for purchases, Microsoft for support email, Cloudflare for website delivery, and when required to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate misuse. Advertising-related disclosure may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some privacy laws even when no money is paid for the information. Available consent and opt-out controls are provided accordingly. Wrynvale Studio requires service providers that process information through the app or site to protect it consistently with this policy, their published privacy commitments, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
Retention and deletion
Local game information remains on your device as described above. Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the request and afterward only for a reasonable period when needed for records, security, disputes, or legal obligations. You may ask Wrynvale Studio to delete support correspondence it possesses; some information may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required. Google, Apple, and Cloudflare determine retention for information they process under their own policies. Wrynvale Studio cannot retrieve or delete data held only by your device or those providers.
Your privacy choices and rights
- Review available Ad privacy options in the game's Settings.
- Adjust applicable advertising and privacy settings in iOS.
- Purchase Remove Ads to stop interstitial ads in the game.
- Remove locally stored game data by deleting the app, subject to backups.
- Use Google and Apple privacy controls for information held by those providers.
- Email Wrynvale Studio to ask a privacy question or request access to or deletion of support correspondence Wrynvale Studio actually holds.
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional rights concerning personal information. Wrynvale Studio will respond to requests it can reasonably verify and fulfill. For Apple-held data, use Apple's Data and Privacy portal.
Children's privacy
Think in Layers is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed specifically to children under 13. It has no Wrynvale account, profile, chat, or submission form. Wrynvale Studio does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the game. If a child sends information in a support email, a parent or guardian may contact Wrynvale Studio to request deletion of that correspondence.
Security and international processing
Wrynvale Studio uses reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information it handles, but no internet transmission or email system is completely secure. Google, Apple, Cloudflare, and their providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated when the game, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
